How do you confirm that the street night cleaning (19:00-07:00) matches the city’s plan? Dustbusters provides that clarity. It compares your scheduled routes against vehicle GPS data, giving you a simple report of what was completed. It automatically verifies every required pass—even on multi-pass streets—and correctly assigns all work before 07:00 to the previous night’s shift.

Automated comparison between planned routes and actual GPS execution.
Structured reports usable by authorities and auditors.
Support for multiple-pass streets with detailed execution rates.
On-demand PDF exports with active filters.
Before Dustbusters, there was no unified or reliable way to verify whether street-cleaning activities in a city were actually performed according to plan. The municipality relied on manual reports from contractors, which often lacked traceability and made disputes difficult to resolve.

At the core of the problem was data reliability. GPS coordinates collected from cleaning vehicles were inconsistent, and matching those noisy data points to specific streets required a level of precision suitable for legal use. Each route also had its own operational rules — cleaning occurred overnight between 19:00 and 07:00, with activities after midnight counting toward the previous day’s plan. Some streets demanded multiple passes, while others had unique cleaning frequencies.
Beyond the technical complexity, there was also a transparency challenge. Authorities needed clear, verifiable evidence to hold operators accountable, while citizens increasingly demanded open access to information about public services. The solution had to be both accurate enough for auditors and intuitive enough for non-technical stakeholders, creating a bridge between operational data and civic trust.
Dustbusters was designed as a complete monitoring and reporting ecosystem that transforms raw GPS data into clear, actionable insights.
The platform continuously compares planned street-cleaning routes with actual GPS execution, automatically detecting missing or incomplete cleanings and calculating execution rates in real time. To make the data understandable, it introduces a layered visualization system — a Dashboard for high-level KPIs, Week and Day Views for performance tracking, and Street Views for granular route analysis with interactive maps.

Each dataset undergoes automatic validation and cleaning before processing. Anomalies, out-of-bounds coordinates, or corrupted GPS points are filtered out to ensure the accuracy required for official audits. Average vehicle speeds and stationary periods are analyzed to detect potential inefficiencies or irregularities, with visual alerts if thresholds are exceeded (for example, speeds above 11 km/h).
Every operation is backed by a robust reporting pipeline. When new data is uploaded, the system generates PDF maps and weekly reports. Authorized users can also export CSV data directly from the Dashboard, ensuring that evidence is always a click away.
By combining precision, automation, and transparency, Dustbusters helps authorities and citizens alike gain a trustworthy view of how public cleaning services are executed — turning operational complexity into measurable, verifiable outcomes.
With Dustbusters, the city administration gained a data-driven decision-making tool that finally connects planning with verified on-the-ground execution. Authorities can now instantly see which streets were cleaned, when, and by which vehicle — supported by legally sound reports and GPS-backed visual evidence.

The result is a measurable improvement in operational efficiency and public trust. City officials no longer rely on manual logs or anecdotal claims; instead, they have a digital record that can be used for audits, internal reports, and public communication.
For citizens, this means greater transparency in municipal services and a clear understanding of how cleaning efforts are performed across their neighborhoods.
For city managers, it’s a scalable foundation for expanding toward other services — from waste collection and road maintenance to a broader smart city operations management platform.
Most importantly, Dustbusters is ready to be deployed in other municipalities across Romania. Its architecture, data model, and reporting framework are fully adaptable to different city layouts, operational rules, and contractor systems.
